Implementing eKanban in a Large Company

This presentation describes the eKanban rollout at Emerson,  highlighting the challenges and lessons learned along the way.  Emerson has had much success with eKanban in many different types of businesses.  Vital to the success has been the development of a centrally-hosted solution that can be quickly and consistently expanded as additional businesses implement eKanban.  At the end of the presentation, the participant should have a very good sense of what steps to takes to make eKanban successful in their organization.

Presenter Biography

Michael Madigan is the eKanban Service Delivery Manager for Emerson, responsible for implementing eKanban in support of Emerson’s Manufacturing goals.  His previous roles in Emerson include Plant Manager, Director of Lean Manufacturing and Flow Program Manager.  These roles have provided extensive ‘hands-on’ experience implementing lean, relocating factories/production lines and using lean techniques to ‘turn-around’ a business.  He understands the importance of the ‘people’ side of lean.

Mr. Madigan holds a Masters Degree in Business from The Ohio State University specializing in Lean Manufacturing and Corporate Finance.  He has a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer.
